Rare Malibu star tile, a stand-alone tile designed as a "tea or trivet" tile. Deer motif with black glazed sides and intricate patternwork in cuerda seca technique. Excellent condition. Like Catalina, Malibu potteries designed and produced high quality art tiles for a short period of time in the 1920s. An important addition to any vintage tile collection.
