 Description
Vintage Snake Charmer tile, 6" square, made by the Rossman Tile Company from 1927-1930, in Beaver Falls, PA. These tiles were distributed throughout the country for important architectural installations. The rich glazes and detailed design was created on red clay and is signed "Rossmore" on the back of the tile. Rich orange glaze border. This is the tile that was used and photographed in Karlson's "American Art Tile" on page 66. Nice provenance for such a rare tile.....
